EXCLUSIVE CULTURE, CUISINE AND SIGHTSEEING ROTORUA
Experience one of the most popular attractions in Aotearoa, New Zealand, in a unique and intimate way. Meeting your private guide, you will be hosted through the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute and taken on a behind-the-scenes experience through the geothermal valley and arts and crafts schools.
We start by entering through the private, Southern entrance of the park and take a walk through the geothermal valley. We’ll queue jump our way through the carving and weaving schools while your host gives you in-depth insight into the inner workings of the facility, a peak behind the scenes and the importance of the schools to the Māori culture. We also take the opportunity to explore art made by students and masters alike in the newly built gallery
Later we make our way to a sectioned off area of the park where we meet our private chef who has prepared an amazing, geothermally cooked, Māori inspired feast for our enjoyment. Paired with local wines and beers, we sit, eat and devour the delicious food prepped freshly for us while listening to one of our local artists sing Māori songs.
We eventually farewell our new friends of the valley and enjoy leisurely sightseeing around the Rotorua area. We have the option to walk trails such as Tikitapu, the Redwoods, Okere Falls and more. Your private guide will discuss what is best suited for you before eventually returning to your accommodation after a wonderful day out.
